God has brought The Brooklyn Tabernacle from a handful of members in a small rundown building in a difficult area, to a congregation of more than 10,000 weekly attendees. Pastor Cymbala and his wife Carol, who directs the popular Grammy Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, have been used by the Lord not only to preach the Gospel in the inner city of New York, but also to see new churches grow out of the congregation across New York, as well as domestically and internationally. The ministry of the Church has from the outset reached out to the cross-cultural melting pot of New York City. It is comprised of men, women, and children of all ethnic and national origins. However, central to the growth and expansion of the Church has been the continual emphasis on prayer, from the Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting that is attended by thousands to the Prayer Band, members of the Church devoted to boldly "calling on the Lord" for needs from around the world.

If I may share an experience with you @violet. I remember 40 years ago when I would experience feelings of loneliness, rejection, fear, anxiety, depression with many tears. I would entertain dark, troubling suicidal thoughts. One evening in a Church Bible Study, I asked my late Pastor (Spiritual Father since youth) about handling our fears. The room suddenly became quiet, as he stared at me the with love and care of A HEAVENLY FATHER'S PRESENCE. Then he shared a wonderful illustration (I'm paraphrasing the dialogue from memory). He invited us to remember the times in our life when we were very afraid and trembling with this awful dread that would overtake us. Then, suddenly, you would feel this PEACEFUL CALM inside your mind and body that would settle you, as you were able to carry out the task or quietly fall asleep. He said this is GOD'S PRESENCE WITH YOU. HE IS THE HOLY SPIRIT ASSURING YOU. 🕊Jesus Says, "I Will Ask The Father, and He Will Give you Another Helper, THAT HE MAY BE WITH YOU FOREVER. Peace I Leave with you; not as the world gives Do I Give To you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid" John 14. We confidently say, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I will not be afraid" Hebrews 13:6. Amen 🙏🙌🙌🙌

This morning the tears flowed and have been flowing since yesterday. I pray against discouragement but it has been coming really hard in my spirit. Even as a believer maybe I'm feeling this way because my many prayers sometimes feel like no one is listening...I feel this heaviness, and I am asking for prayers against spiritual warfare going on in my spirit right now. Dear Sister, I have been attacked like that too & I have found those evil Spirits hate it when I start singing praise songs. Many times tears streaming down my cheeks, I sing with as much might as I can and the burdens start lifting bc God loves our praise especially in trouble like Peter & Paul put up in jails. Paul was an amazing believer, but as he was doing the perfect will of God he found himself hanging onto a shred of a ship in the Mediterranean Sea. Comparison is the thief of joy, so I go to my journals & write down at least 3 things I'm grateful for and leave the comparing to others.
